Studio IN was founded in the summer of 2010 by Ivano Trabalza and Neysa Jin. A new brick and mortor studio with offices should be finished by the end of 2011. Centrally located in Spoeto, Umbria, Studio IN and its photographers have the flexability to shoot in Venice, Tuscany, or the more exotic Sicily and Amalfi Coast as well as beautiful Umbria. What follows is just a little bit more about us in detail.
Ivano Trabalza
Ivano has been a professional photographer for over ten years now. IN 2000 Ivano photographed his first wedding in film and since then he's been hooked. His passion for photography has led him to Africa where he has created works on South Africa, Mali, Mauritania and Senegal. Subjects have included: the risks of industrialized fishing for local communities and the documentation of local inovators in the arts in Mali and South Africa. IN 2004 he served as the official photographer for Estate Spoletina for two consecutive years and went on to have his many of his documentary work published in Anna, Io Donna, SportWeek, Couriere Della Sera to name a few. Trabalza then signed on with the OTN photo agency in Milan in 2009 and collaborated with the Grimaldi Group to document the life of the young sailers of the massive cargo ships within the Grimaldi Lines. IN 2010, Trabalza photographed behind the sceens at Miami Fashion Week and with Neysa Jin served as Official Photographer for the Spoleto Festival Dei Due Mondi. During this time Ivano has never once stopped photographing weddings. Weddings are, in his words, 'Perfect, since I love to tell a story with my photographs and with a wedding you are telling the story of one of the most beautiful days in one's life.'
Neysa Jin
Neysa started apprenticing a local black and white photographer in her native Ohio when she was 14 years old. After shooting for her local news paper and senior photos for class-mates she went on to study documentary photography at Parsons School of Design and New York University. After working at the Newberry Library in Chicago as an archival photographer and OMS in Cincinnati as a commercial photo assistant for clients like Proctor and Gamble and Frontgate Neysa decided to return to the origin of the image and began studying painting and sculpture in Florence, Italy. IN 2005 Neysa moved to Miami Beach, FL where she was a Resident Artist at the Art Center of South Florida on Lincoln Road. IN 2010 she was one of 5 professional artists selected to participate in a small residency in Campello, Italy where she met residency photographer Ivano Trabalza. Together, Neysa and Ivano have photographed adcampaigns in Italy and the US and have already photographed numerous weddings throughout Italy. About weddings Neysa said 'I was always a skeptic. But now that I have had this wonderful opportunity to photograph them, I see weddings as this amazing gift, a day where people invite you into the family in the hopes that you will see and appriciate all of the wonder and joy of that day and help them remember it, to remind them of how it all started.'
